Prior to opening Shadow Creek, the term “seasons” for us simply referred to winter, spring, summer and fall. Little did we know, opening our doors would introduce us to two new seasons; engagement and wedding season. If we are being honest, these two seasons have quickly become our favorites, and for good reason! We love the exciting inquiries that come in on the Friday following Thanksgiving, the official kick-off to engagement season leading up to Christmas Day and continuing through New Year’s Eve; which in our opinion, is the perfect night to propose (or host your wedding!) Following Thanksgiving, we head into December, which includes 7 of the top 10 days in the entire year for proposals! If you’re thinking of popping the question in December, you might consider these popular days: Two Saturdays before Christmas, the 23rd of December, the Friday before Christmas, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. December is such a great month for so many reasons, but engagement season, that makes it the best. While December remains the most popular month to get engaged, New Year’s Day, Valentine’s Day and the 4th of July are equally popular dates and starting in April, wedding season begins!

We love seeing all the amazing wedding details come together for our couples on their special day, but what we have discovered is that behind the planning, the rings and excitement, is a love story, always unique to each couple who comes through our doors. We have couples who are in the military, couples who love to travel, firefighters, doctors, love stories that started in KINDERGARTEN, couples who are eloping, couples with huge families, couples who love horses, couples who are beer lovers, wine drinkers, fashion-forward, foodies, creatives, locals and non-locals. We get to meet and host so many wonderful people, each with a story and a special engagement.

We love getting to become a part of their love story.

Each couple who marries at Shadow Creek is invited to share their engagement picture and their story with us using the hashtag #Shadowcreekcouple We love sharing these images with our followers and look forward to the start of another engagement season and a beautiful wedding season.

Please enjoy some of our couples engagement pictures below! If you are getting married here, or have been married here, please feel free to email us a high-resolution engagement picture and we would love to add it!
