Pantone Color: Greenery
Pantone Color: Greenery
We don’t know about you, but today is the first day of spring and that has us feeling rejuvenated! Leaving winter behind has us thinking about all the amazing events that will take place here in the coming months with spring and summer palettes. Don’t get us wrong, we LOVE fall and winter weddings equally as much as spring and summer, and our venue is never lacking for stunning event color inspiration, but today we are ready for some bright and airy green! With that, today’s post is serving as our nod to “Greenery,” the designated Pantone color of the year.
We always look forward to the Pantone color being announced, and this year was no disappointment. It might be the rolling hills of Loudoun County in the spring/summer, or all the neutral tones of green incorporated into wedding flowers, or maybe the fact that St. Patrick’s Day was just last week, but there is just something so beautiful about the color green. We can’t say that the images shared in this post reflect only the Pantone color exactly, some of them are very close, but we have dedicated this post simply to the color as a whole, because we have seen so many beautiful examples in past Shadow Creek weddings that have drawn from this color as inspiration. Beyond the fact that green is found so heavily in Virginia and the natural landscape of Loudoun County, it’s a color that seems to compliment so many other colors, adding an element of sophistication and refinement to wedding attire, floral arrangements, printed stationery, and general decor. We will never tire of simple greenery used for tablescapes, hanging installations and to accent other wedding design elements; the options with this color palette are endless. We also have a lot of love for teal, sage and the many other shades and tints of green that we get to see. Please enjoy this mix of images we have gathered from past Shadow Creek weddings reflecting green and why it will always be a favorite around here!
